Temperatures are expected to decrease across Yemen in the coming months compared to the previous dekad. According to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) November 2025 risk bulletin published recently.

The monthly bulletin, produced in collaboration with Start Network and other agencies for the attention of humanitarians, added that coastal areas along the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and Arabian Sea may experience below-average temperatures. Meanwhile, the northern and central highlands, as well as the southern uplands, may face low to very low nighttime temperatures (below 2°C), particularly in some isolated areas such as Jabal Al Nabi Shoaib, a sub-district located in Bani Matar District, south of Sana'a Governorate,

WMO bulletin forecast that “This could increase the risk of frost episodes, potentially increasing health risks to vulnerable populations, especially respiratory infections, and causing damage to crops and livestock, further exacerbating the country's severe food insecurity crisis
