The British ships of Carrier Strike Group 25 (CSG25) have successfully run the gauntlet of potential Houthi attacks off Yemen coast and have passed through the Suez Canal, according to The British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS)

To get to Suez, the vessels had to sail up the Bab-el-Mandeb – a strait between Yemen on the Arabian Peninsula and Djibouti and Eritrea in the Horn of Africa, and a choke point known for Houthi attacks.

But the Royal Navy HMS Prince of Wales, HMS Dauntless and the Norwegian HMNoS Roald Amundsen, accompanied by a US Navy Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, made the transit without incident and is currently in Crete.
